WRS are looking for a qualified commercial technician to assist us to maintain our fleet of recovery vehicles, along with customer vehicles. We are a local family business operating a varied fleet of trucks.

Shift patterns and times are negotiable, as is the salary.

You must hold industry relevant qualifications to be suitable for this position. An HGV licence is not essential but preferred.

**Responsibilities**:

- Perform vehicle repairs and maintenance tasks as assigned
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues with vehicles
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on vehicles
- Fabricate and install vehicle components as needed
- Use power tools and hand tools to complete repair tasks
- Repair and replace faulty vehicle parts and systems
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment
- Provide excellent customer service and address customer concerns

**Experience**:

- Previous experience in vehicle repair or maintenance is required
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of vehicle systems
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical manuals
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
- Experience with soldering and welding techniques for vehicle repairs
- Knowledge of electrical systems in vehicles

**Salary**: £35,000.00-£45,000.00 per year

- HGV Maintenance: 3 years (preferred)
