Think Accountancy and Finance are delighted to be working with a business based in Oxford in the recruitment of a Head of Finance.

The manufacturing company is well established family business and offers a great opportunity for someone to take on a well rounded role offering variety and a position to be part of the growth plans.

Based in Oxfordshire, they have expanded its sales through wholesale partners globally. They currently retail through their web presence and 2 outlets.

They are looking for a commercially minded Finance Manager/Head of Finance to support the FD of their parent company to drive growth and execute strategy.

Responsibilities include:

- Delivering the monthly and yearly management reporting
- Ensure there is an appropriate system of policies, internal controls, standards, and procedures in the finance team
- Manage the integrity of the books of account
- Provision of Trail Balance and accounting information to parent company
- Provision of Statutory accounts to parent company
- Maintenance of the company asset register
- Main contact for government and tax authorities
- Processing of tax returns, VAT returns, payroll taxes and other government and tax communications
- Responsible for Payroll, Pensions and HR Admin function
- Recommending and delivering new business proposals
- Cash & Treasury Management
- Daily cash monitoring
- Ad hoc reporting to assist management decision making
- Preparing the yearly budgets and reforecasts
- Responsible for the accounting system
- Main contact for general IT support - whether internal or 3rd party.
- Management and motivation of a finance team of 3 covering accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and banking.

Our client is looking for someone who has worked in a similar position before but is ready for a new challenge. To be considered we are looking for the following attributes:

- Recognised accountancy qualification (CIMA, ACCA etc) or proof of QBE
- SME experience responsible for the company accounts
- Gravitas - A financial leader - in control of the detail of the accounts as well as the company's financial strategy
- Proficient in MS Excel and general IT skills
- Manufacturing environment and premium goods experience an advantage but not essential
- Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines
- Experience of MS Dynamics an advantage
