**Nicholas Howard Limited**is delighted to be recruiting for a new and exciting role as a Mechanical Design Engineer.

We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our client’s product design team. As a key member of the team you will develop mechanisms and housings for various electro-optical systems. You will collaborate in the development of complex systemsincluding requirements analysis, concept development and design, implementation and installation.

We are looking for a person who is passionate about developing excellent products, and keen to use their mechanical design skills to help our team be successful. You will feel at home within a fast moving team with open communication, commitment to qualityand focus on getting things done.

**Essential Skills**:
To succeed in this role you will need the following essential skills:

- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline, such as Product or Industrial design.
- 1+ year of experience employed as a Mechanical Designer.
- Autodesk Inventor
- Autodesk Autocad
- Microsoft Office
- Effective communication with different types of audience.
- Ability to work collaboratively or individually as required.

**Desirable Skills**:
It would be useful, but not necessary, for the applicant to have experience of the following:

- Optical design or setup.
- Finite Element Analysis.
- Fluid Dynamic Analysis.
- Autodesk 3D Studio Max.
- Photo editing software.
- 3D Printing.
- Engineering design standards and certifications.
