The role

Fugro is now seeking an ambitious Senior Project Manager to join our team based in Falmouth, Cornwall. Reporting to the Project Delivery Manager, you will be responsible for preparing, delivering and managing Nearshore site investigation projects from tenderaward to final delivery.

As a Project Manager within Fugro, you will oversee the delivery phase of projects and manage larger single projects or multiple projects both on and offsite.

As a company representative on-site, you will also be responsible for championing a strong safety culture, facilitating client liaison and maintaining communication with project teams and reporting managers to report site progress and planning.

Who you’ll be working with:
You will help lead and motivate the project team either on-site or from the office on a daily basis and will assist in the co-ordination of all technical matters via the site/ project manager, onboard supervisor & technical staff, including fulfilling thecommunication role with remote technical and management colleagues through the project life cycle.

Here’s what a typical day would be like:

- Managing a project team in the safe and efficient delivery of marine site investigations from jack-up platforms in the office and on-site spending 4-6 weeks on-site at a time on occasions
- Prepare & deliver daily and weekly progress reports and monthly project performance reports including risk registers
- Leading the pre-planning phase of a project including preparing QHSE documentation and operational and geotechnical planning
- Helping lead and motivate the project team, assigning objectives and managing activities to ensure projects remain on plan
- Managing project contracts and assisting in contractual affairs
- Managing the regular project reporting including progress, programme, costs, profits and forecasts showing actual financial performance and schedule against planned, advising management immediately if targets are not met and recommending action as necessary

Who we’re looking for:
Essential
- Degree, HND level or equivalent education
- Demonstrable experience in a similar role / field
- Time served background in land site investigation, land construction or marine project management environments
- Sound commercial acumen with a good understanding of contract management
- Experience in leading and motivating teams
- Experience managing and planning project operations

Desirable
- Experience with Jack ups/vessels
- Strong geotechnical background from a marine site investigation environment
- Experience in planning and managing projects in a marine environment
