**Job Reference WAK15015EC1 - Pontefract, Yorkshire**
**About the Employer**
To support a lady with mobility issues and FND (Functional Neurological Disorder) to help with dressing and personal care/medication in mornings and evenings. Support with taking child to school (early breakfast club). Support with accessing social activities, and shopping. Position to be split ideally between two PA's. Someone who is able to cope with the unexpected and interchangeable when working with someone who greatly struggles with these aspects of life. To be where they should be when they should as five minutes before the start time is on time for me. A good head for pre-planning as both client and her son take time to adapt to routine change and require someone who is calm when things don’t go as planned. Must also like dogs as there are two (big) dogs present within the home; they love to play ball though. Daily assistance includes; waking, supervision of medication, dressing (with assistance being required dependent on mobility) and potentially requesting further aid to get son where he need to be. Shower assistance is also required. Client is a wheelchair user so assistance with shopping and accessing the community is support she is greatly in need of. For accessing the community going swimming to assist in rehabilitation regularly is a start but also not having to worry about getting to her son’s dance shows (which are on weekend once or twice a year) will have a big positive impact; an taking the four legged friends out sometimes too. Accessing the community will usually be during the work week with prior notice if a weekend is required. During the evenings it is a simple as medication supervision and into to PJs. Once a week there is time to clean; singing is not compulsory but there’s nothing wrong with a ‘happy working song’ Car driver to be able to have space to fit wheelchair into vehicle.
