We are looking for Claims Handlers who are ready to take on a new challenge and grow their skillset within our Commercial Fleet Claims team. We are offering the opportunity for individuals to undergo full training and development with no prior commercial claims or personal injury experience required. Bespoke handling is crucial to us and our customers so attention to detail is key.
You’ll be a dedicated handler managing all aspects of the claim through to settlement which may include own damage, third party, personal injury and credit hire. You’ll be making decisions on liability, indemnity and litigation ensuring the best outcome for the customer and Somerset Bridge Group. You’ll need to liaise with the commercial broker and policyholder to ensure the customer’s damaged vehicle is dealt with promptly to get the vehicle back on the road to avoid any delays or changes so they can continue with their business.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Investigate and proactively manage your own caseload of claims.
- Provide excellent customer service and negotiate with insurers and solicitors on quantum and liability.
- Regular interaction with Commercial Brokers to consider liability and any policy related queries.
- Ability to identify any potential fraud by using the fraud indicators.
- Build strong professional relationships with colleagues and clients.
**Required Skills/Experience**:
- Previous experience in handling motor claims.
- Previous experience in commercial claims is desirable but not essential.
- Be prepared to undertake a Personal Development Plan in all aspects of Commercial Claims Handling.
- Achieve cost efficient conclusions.
- Ability to identify any potential fraud by using the fraud indicators.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Good understanding of indemnity and liability arguments.
- Ability to work proactively and to tight deadlines and to take ownership for your own work.
- Organised with the ability to prioritise your workload.
