**Full Job Description**:
**Job Title: Education Lead on Site**
**Location: The Shires at Oakham School, Oakham LE15 6JB**
**Salary: £47,000 per annum**
**Hours: 40 hours per week**
**Contract: Permanent, Term Time + 2 weeks**
We are looking for an experienced Education Lead on Site to join our fantastic team at The Shires at Oakham School. As the Education Lead on Site, you will provide a high-quality education service for our students in accordance with Company policies, procedures and practices and the standards set by the Regulatory Body. You will work with the Head Teacher, leadership team and other stakeholders to secure high standards throughout the school.
**KEY TASK AREAS AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Directly line manage Assistant Heads and teaching staff
- Ensure an appropriately challenging and relevant curriculum is in place, including robust long-term and medium-term curriculum planning that highlights the length, breadth and depth of the curriculum
- Ensure robust monitoring, evaluation and reporting of the site provision, pupil progress and outcomes
- Completion of termly governance report and other outcome reporting as required
- Ensure affective day to day management of the school
- Effectively implement and imbed the schools agreed vision, principles and policy
- To work effectively as part of the school senior leadership team, with the head teacher, head of service and other senior management and regional office support staff, to develop the detail of the strategy for the school
- To ensure that appropriate standards are maintained, especially in relation to education, care and clinical programmes for students, in accordance with company policies
- To adhere to the Special Education Needs Code of Practice and other relevant legislation
Essential Experience
- Relevant experience in the specialist area of the service ie relevant experience of working with young people/young adults with autism spectrum disorder and/or challenging behavior
- Relevant experience as a deputy head teacher
- Experience of Ofsted procedures / inspections
- Managing budgets effectively and ensuring cost efficiency
Desirable
- Experience of working within a residential school
- NPQH

The Shires consists of two sites both within a 15-minute drive of one another. We have two Special Educational Needs (SEN) Schools and 1 Residential home. We provide specialist education an care for young people aged 11-19 who have been diagnosed with Autism and may have accompanying learning disabilities, behavioural problems or medical conditions.
