**Job purpose** - To provide an efficient and effective housekeeping service that fully meets the needs of the residents, along with the high standards expected in the Care Home. Leading the housekeeping team to ensure that the Home is cleanedand maintained to a high standard in accordance to the Care Homes’ guidelines, in addition to the individual needs and requirements of the residents.

**3 on 3 off rotas basis. 8am-6pm 35 hours per week**

**Key Responsibilities**

**1. To provide a high quality housekeeping service to ensure all areas of the home are cleaned to a high standard and that all linen and resident’s personal clothing/items are correctly laundered 2. To oversee all domestic staff andto ensure all duties are completed to the desired standards. 3. You will be responsible for ordering cleaning stock and ensuring stock levels are correct at all times. 4. To ensure that all areas of the Care Home are cleanedto a high standard in compliance with the specific cleaning guidelines and schedules and that they effectively meet the residents’ and homes needs. 5. To respect and maintain confidentiality of resident’s personal information at all times,including their right to privacy, dignity and choice. 6. To understand and comply with all statutory and legal requirements that are relevant such as Health & Safety, COSHH, and all aspects of the Health & Social Care Act, to ensure a safeand efficient laundry service in the home.Understand and have an awareness of Infection Control. 7. To check that all residents’ personal clothing and items are individually labelled, maintained in good repair and returned to the correct residentin a timely manner after each laundry session. 8. To respect and maintain confidentiality of resident’s personal information at all times, including resident’s right to privacy, dignity and choice. 9. To ensure all equipmentused is in full, safe working order, promptly reporting any faults to both Maintenance and the General Manager. 10. To check all areas of the home are supplied with adequate housekeeping items and inform the manager of any shortages. 11.To always be alert and use your own initiative, spot clean any spillages as they occur. 12. To be an active and helpful member of the team, contribute to meeting, attend training sessions and ensure that The Care Home is a friendly and supportiveworking environment. Job context**

This is a team role, with responsibility for cleaning and maintaining the home to a high standard, therefore communication and team work are mutually important. Prioritising your workload, getting tasks done and pride in your work is essential.
