Bereavement Clerk

We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated bereavement services clerk with excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills to join the bereavement services team.

To assist in the effective and efficient running of the Bereavement Services Department. To work as part of a team, referring to the Bereavement Services Manager and the Senior Bereavement Services Officer as and when necessary.

Liaise with external to ensure effective and efficient services are always delivered, using excellent customer service skills.

Ability to work on own initiative referring to the Bereavement Services Senior Officer when necessary.

Communicate with families, ward staff, consultants, colleagues and external stakeholders using tact and diplomacy. Deal with frequent interruptions e.g. telephone enquiries, visitors to department.

The vaccination and boosters remain the best ways to protect our staff, patients and the public in our hospitals and in the community; and whilst not currently mandated, we still encourage people to be vaccinated.
