The service is currently undergoing a new and exciting transformation creating new posts across the Rapid Response team.

We are currently recruiting for a number of Advanced Mental Health Practitioners at both Band 5 (Salary ranging from £28,407 - £34,580 per annum) based at Fir Tree House in Slough.

For these positions we will consider both full and part time applicants and can offer flexible working hours between the core hours of 9:00am - 20:00pm, Monday to Friday with 1 weekend day per month to be covered.

As an Advanced Mental Health Practitioner in the rapid response team, you will offer high-quality mental health assessments and short-term intervention to young people experiencing mental health crisis. You will work closely with the wider CAMH services in Berkshire as well as local authority, education colleagues and other services as required.

You will have excellent communication skills as well as a compassionate nature to ensure you are giving your full support to both patients and their families.

As a service we are very committed to the development of our staff and can offer both internal & external training with this role.

No day will be the same, so here are a few (but not limited it) duties of the role;
- Design and develop interventions as part of the patient and their families care plan
- Assess, interpret, diagnose, and implement treatment for patients
- Make appropriate judgements to ensure the best outcome of treatments for young people and their families as well as the improvement of resilience and recovery which mitigates risks to themselves or others
- Maintain and develop key relationships with professionals external to the area of service, as well as patients and their families
- To be responsible for the accurate maintenance of clinical record keeping and ensuring all systems, records and data are stored and transferred correctly

**The 4 “must haves” for you to be considered for this role**:

- A degree in relevant field as well as a core profession eg Social worker, Nurse, OT etc
- Experience in working with young people with mental health and complex needs
- Demonstrable skills in mental health assessments
- Full UK driving license with access to a vehicle
