We currently operate 12 eye hospitals and 5 eye clinics at locations throughout England, and have ambitious growth plans to open a number of new hospitals over the coming year. Newmedica Suffolk one of the newer services in the Newmedica family, having only been established since August 2020 but has been growing very quickly. What will the role involve? Responsible for performing clinical tests and supporting the clinical assessment of each patient and for ensuring that all patients understand their treatment. Responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient administration of the clinic, including ensuring that appointments are booked and that clinics are full, retrieving patient notes, recording and filing clinical outcomes and utilising Newmedicas electronic patient records. Combining a friendly and accessible personal manner with basic clinical testing skills Delivering great customer service and the ability to work within small teams to maintain and enhance processes to maximise quality and efficiency Assisting in the flow of theatre sessions, by working in the pre-op and post-op rooms Working across our multiple locations; Bury St Edmunds, Newmarket and Ipswich, to run a variety of clinics What skills and experience do I need for the role?
**We are looking for individuals who have**: GCSEs in at least Maths and English Excellent verbal and written communication skills A good telephone manner Excellent organisation skills and the ability to multi-task Commitment to delivering consistently high standards of testing and administration An ability to make a significant contribution in a small team. An ability to balance working independently with appropriate escalation. No clinical knowledge is assumed (full training will be given) but intellectual curiosity is required.
