Software/presales Consultant

We are a recruiting for a leading provider of retail solutions for the speciality retail sector and are seeking a Presales Consultant to join their North Europe team.
The individual must have experience of working in the retail sector within a software (Cloud/SaaS) environment. This is a varied, interesting role where the individual will use their knowledge of the speciality retail sector supporting the sales team duringthe presales phase; preparing and presenting our solutions to prospects and contributing to the sales cycle. Good communication skills are essential as you will be the central point to customers in relation to the solution and for our internal team.

Role and Responsibilities
- Collaborates with stakeholders throughout the organization to ensure a comprehensive set of requirements, aligned to business objectives, gaining full understanding of current and future state business processes.
- Facilitates the customer's decision-making process and develops the functional design document that will drive the development process (if modifications and/or customizations are required)
- Collaborating with the sales team to analyse prospects requirements and completing RFI/RFP documentation.
- Preparing and showcasing our solution offerings to C level audience.
- Contributing to the preparation and execution of marketing events such as trade shows and so on.
Job Requirements
- Has experience being project team member, providing expertise in the retail areas with superior people skills; team-oriented, fast learner and very personable.
- Understands the key activities and deliverables for the client engagement and internal projects
- Has industry experience and understands challenges and risks when implementing retail solutions.
- Ideally A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business and/or Information Systems from a recognised post - secondary institution
- Some years of Consultancy experience in the retail sector with exposure to Omni-Channel process management.
- Excellent business analysis and process improvement skills
- Experience of the full software implementation life cycle
- Knowledge of Microsoft SQL and scripts is useful but not essential
- Good understanding of Microsoft Office products especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Knowledge of Visio (or similar products) would be advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Able to communicate complex ideas in a simple way to a wide range of audiences.
- A self-motivated and driven approach to achieve success within a consulting environment with ability to learn tools and assimilated knowledge quickly.
- Proactive and focused attitude with capability of working autonomously
- Able to speak French would be an advantage but not essential.
