Ignite Health and Homecare have to offer a challenging yet rewarding role supporting young people in their journey to adulthood and living independently. You will be based in our house which is home to a maximum of 4 young people, providing them with emotional and practical support to promote their well-being and independence.

You will work day shifts 8am - 8pm, on a week 1/week 2 rotation. Week 1 rota is Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, Week 2 rota is Monday, Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday. You will be on hand to keep the young people on track with their behaviour, education, work, finances, health and relationships.

This position involves lone working with the support of the Team Manager who will visit and support the service and the support team.

Your key duties and responsibilities as a Support Worker will include:

- Being responsible for ensuring that the needs of 4 young people are met, guiding them towards the achievement of positive independent living skills.
- Providing advice to young people in all areas of daily life, including budgeting, health, careers, education, relationships, culture, identity, accommodation maintenance and safety.
- Writing nightly reports, keeping young people’s files up to date and informing management of any concerns that you have for any of the young people in regards to their welfare or social and family problems.
- Ensuring that the accommodation is kept in good condition.
Successful applicants for this role will require an enhanced DBS check.
