**About the Role**

Rowan House near Brentwood is a friendly, homely residential service for people with learning disabilities and complex needs, including Angelman Syndrome. The individuals we support may also express behaviours which others might find challenging. Situated in the pleasant Essex countryside, Rowan House has six bedrooms across two floors.

There is a nurturing, caring, positive environment with a real home from home feel. The team ensure a flexible and proactive approach and are dedicated to meeting the needs of the individuals they support. Many have worked at the home for a long period of time and are also very supportive of their colleagues as well as the people we support

To join us, you’ll need to have plenty of experience working with individuals with learning disabilities or complex behaviours. An NVQ 3 in Health & Social Care is desirable, as is a good knowledge of relevant H&S regulations. You’ll certainly have strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills. Confident, flexible and efficient, you’re happy to work on a shift basis, and, where required, to be on call. Above all, you’ll be committed to providing person-centred care that gives real equality of opportunity to all those you’re working for.
