BMM Energy Solutions are looking to recruit an experienced Health and Safety Advisor. The Health and Safety Advisor will play a vital role in leading and protecting our people, our assets, and the environment at **BMM Energy Solutions**.

They will use their knowledge and experience to advise and implement suitable construction health and safety risk controls, ensuring that the organisation meets relevant HSE legislation and standards.

The role is accountable for driving a culture of continuous improvement through diligent performance monitoring of Health and Safety across all BMM Construction activities.

**Knowledge, Skills, and Experience required**:

- 5 years’ experience in Occupational Health & Safety and/or in Manufacturing, Construction, Facilities Management sectors.
- Proven track record of leading & delivering HSE improvements in a similar role
- Experience, Understanding, and/or Qualifications in First Aid, Fire, ISO 45001, Environment, and/or CDM would be an advantage.
- Hold a recognised Level 3 qualification in Occupational Health & Safety such as NEBOSH Certificate, NVQ Certificate or equivalent.
- Hold, working towards, or an interest in gaining a Level 6 or above qualification in Occupational Health & Safety such as NEBOSH Diploma, BSc (Hons), NVQ Diploma or equivalent.
- Professional membership in a relevant safety / occupational health professional body such as the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH)
- Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise and work to deadlines.
- Work cross functionally across all business functions promoting cohesion across the organisation.
- Be a Team Player with a well-structured, practical, systematic, and hands-on approach.
- Strong stakeholder management at all levels
- Excellent communication skills with an ability to demonstrate a high level of Interpersonal skills to liaise and adapt with stakeholders.
- Ability to drive improvements and to motivate / and influence stakeholders to implement and action advice where given.
- Critical and innovative thinking to problem solve
- The ability to identify and analyse problems, understand risks, and implement appropriate solutions.

**Special Features**:

- Must be able to work flexible daytime, week-day hours to suit business needs.
- Must be willing for regular (weekly) national travel (via car, train, plane) with occasional overnight stays between BMM facilities (Coventry, Glasgow, Gatwick), to construction sites (UK-wide), to Drax sites (London, Ipswich, Northampton, York) and to other locations, as required.

Must have a Full Clean UK Driving Licence.

- Achieve contribution to the Drax Group HSE Scorecard (Total Recordable Injury Rate & Near Miss/Hazard Rate)
- Achievement and maintenance of HSE certifications such as ISO 45001 & Achilles
- Deliver improvements in safety performance and cultural change projects within agreed timelines
- Positive Feedback from the business.

**Salary**: £35,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
