The Constellation Group are looking for a professional, passionate, and enthusiastic HR Assistant, to join our dedicated HR team in Peterborough.
Reporting directly to, and supporting our HR Manager, you will work collaboratively with several departments within our business. As a HR Assistant you will be responsible for providing administrative support to the HR Manager in relation to all areas of the work lifecycle. Be the first point of call for generalist HR queries. By monitoring internal systems, you will ensure we are dealing with people matters in a systematic and timely way thus maintaining employee engagement of employees and sustaining positive working relationships within the business.

Main Duties for HR Assistant:
- Forge close and influential working relationships with key stakeholders at all levels of the organisation to understand key performance issues and future organisational challenges and needs.
- Develop and support engagement initiatives and collaborating with managers to identify local issues requiring bespoke support or interventions.
- Support managers in identifying skills gaps and development needs to establish high performing teams.
- Arrange and attend meetings for Sickness, Investigations, Disciplinary, grievance, performance management and employee exit Interviews.
- Analyse Company sickness figures using timegate on a monthly basis.
- Hold and coordinate investigation meetings and gathering of evidence for stage one of employee relations cases i.e., disciplinary and grievance cases.
- Communicate all significant HR issues to the HR Manager, prior to taking any actions.
- Type HR correspondence letters and HR meeting minutes.
- Monitor sickness absence using timegate to identify employees requiring return to work interviews and escalate to line manager or hold the meeting in their absence.
- Work with HR Manager to ensure all Handbooks, policies and procedures are up to date and effectively communicated.
- Support HR Manager in implementation and maintain an appraisal system.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of HR systems and practices.
- To undertake such other duties of work as may reasonably be required, within general level of responsibility within the organisation.
- A collaborative approach to team working.
- Ability to work openly and collaboratively at all levels.
- A high degree of computer literacy. Able to motivate, prioritise and organise effectively.
- Strong communicating in both verbal and written, along with good listening skills.
- Excellent organisational skills including the ability to prioritise workloads and multi-task.
- Knowledge of security industry regulatory requirements
- CIPD qualification or willingness to working towards.
