Strata Consulting are currently looking to recruit a Civil Technician to join the Manchester office of an award-winning national consultancy. The company are looking to strengthen their Civil Engineering team with the addition of a skilled Civil Technicianwho excels with Civil 3D and MicroDrainage. The client works on both private and public sector projects delivering across sectors including residential, commercial, education and industrial developments. They are looking for a Manchester-based Civil Technician to join their ambitious team, where theyblend ambition with a tight-knit and collaborative culture. Your experience will have involved preparing indicative drainage schemes, investigating SUDS options, liaising with clients, architects etc. undertaking the production of external works, drainage and highways construction design drawings, calculations andspecifications for civil engineering schemes and preparing specifications in DMRB and NBS for highway works. **Job Requirements** We are looking for a Civil Technician with experience of section 38/278 highway schemes and section 104/106 drainage schemes. As an accomplished Civil Technician, you will take pride in your work and have the confidence to challenge the Engineer's briefto ensure you are delivering accurate drawings. You will be adept with one of MicroDrainage, Civil 3D or PDS and have the ability to take the lead on drawings following initial engineer briefing. - Minimum two years' experience as a Civil Technician within infrastructure and/or highway design. - Proficient with MicroDrainage and Civil 3D, PDS, Flow, InfoDrainage and/or Site 3D. - Producing infrastructure design calculations, drawings & specifications. - Preparing drainage schemes, including SuDS. - Strong working knowledge of Section 38 and 278, for highways. - Strong working knowledge of Section 104 and 106 for drainage. - Have excellent communication skills both written & verbal. - Strong understanding of UK Building Regulations, Design Standards, Codes of Practice and Health & Safety regulations. - HND/HNC in Civil Engineering (or equivalent). **About Strata Consulting** We are an Employment Agency specialising in the placement of contract and permanent staff in construction companies and design engineering consultancies across the UK.
