Housekeeper

Being a Housekeeper is so much more than cleaning, it's an opportunity to create a safe environment for your team to provide great healthcare. Working 37.5 hours a week, you will join the housekeeping team Victoria Gardens where you will actively participate in the delivery of the housekeeping service to ensure pre-determined standards of visual biology cleanliness are continually achieved acrossthe hospital site. **Your responsibilities will include:** - Cleaning designated areas to the highest possible standards - Working as part of a team but also independently - To carry out Housekeeping Operations in line with Departmental Procedures - To use all chemical and machinery in line with Departmental Procedures, Health and Safety Regulations and Manufacturers Instructions. - To be Pro-Active in helping to further improve our service delivery through liaison’s with the Manager - To Promote and maintain professional relationships within the department and with customers - To act as a mentor to newly trained staff when required - To be supportive as a team member, helping to provide a continued service during staff shortages - To further improve relations particularly addressing good staff morale and staff retention - Assist in reviewing industry improvements and research - To effectively monitor usage of janitorial products and oversee the maintenance of storage areas **To be successful in this role, you will need**: - Basic numeracy and literacy - To be flexible - To be helpful with a “can do” attitude and motivated - Ability to adapt - be practical - To be conscientious and team focused - Your own transport - Practical task knowledge **What you will get**: - Hourly salary of £10.45 + Benefits - The equivalent of 33 days annual leave - plus your birthday off - Free meals and parking - Wellbeing support and activities - Career development and training - Pension contribution - Life Assurance - Enhanced Maternity Package There are also a range of other benefits including retail discounts and special offers and much more. **About your next employer**: You will be working for an established, stable and agile company with a unique approach to the delivery of care.
