**Job description**
- Being transparent with everyone, always being open and honest and clear, being a conscious member of a team by working in collaboration with SLCN therapists, SENCOs, and Class teachers, giving feedback and communicating consistently.
- Skilled - Be prepared to have an effective behaviour management strategy in place.
- Resilient with your approach to teaching, finding the best methods and tools to support learners.
- An interest in working with students with SEND.
- An adaptive and flexible approach to learning.

**Who we are looking for at Career Teachers**
- **Experience** in supporting pupils in a classroom environment, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN) experience in a school setting is preferred but supporting children in another capacity is essential.
- A good understanding of the national Key Stage Curriculum.
- Sound understanding of child development and learning.
- The ability to demonstrate active listening skills and strong verbal communication skills.
- A dedication to establishing positive relationships with pupils and understanding their needs.
- The ability to provide varying levels of individual attention, reassurance, and support with learning tasks as appropriate to pupil's needs.
- Willingness and ability to adapt to a wide range of duties in response to changing circumstances.
- Qualified Teaching Assistants to Level 2 or 3 is essential
