Job description

AFRUCA - Safeguarding Children is a national charity promoting the safeguarding and well-being of children in Black and Minority communities. AFRUCA has its Head Office in London and a Centre for Children and Families in Manchester.

This post is based within our County Lines Child Trafficking Service at our Centre in Manchester. It will enable us at AFRUCA to help prevent children going into the criminal justice system, due to behaviours which are indicators of serious youth violence, grooming and exploitation.The post-holder will deliver targeted early interventions for both male and female young people across Central Manchester, receiving referrals from the Early Intervention and Prevention Panel. The post-holder will work closely with our external partners from Youth Justice, schools, the police and other local players.

The post holder must undergo an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check to confirm suitability working in a regulated activity with children and young people. Benefits include 28 days annual leave plus bank holidays, 5% pension contributions and regular supervision.
