An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Accountant to join their Finance team in Colwick, Nottingham. Our client is part of the Hunter Douglas group, so as a fast-growing company this role has become available to offer the successful applicantthe opportunity to progress their career in finance.

Reporting to the Finance Business Partner, you’ll be supporting financial analysis across the manufacturing areas of the Hunter Douglas group. You’ll be providing reports and analysis on operational performance across all business channels, monitoring KPIsto drive performance and stock control.

Analytical, attention-to-detail and great communication skills are key for this role, as you’ll be supporting month end reports with variance analysis to understand variance drivers, providing timely updates to senior stakeholders within operations. You’llbe self-motivated, highly organised and a problem solver, looking for opportunities to make improvements within your area to create efficient processes.

This role is ideal for anyone who’s recently graduated or AAT-qualified and looking to kick start their Accountancy career - and they'll support your further studies towards ACCA or CIMA.

Assistant Accountant Key responsibilities:

- Report and analyse manufacturing & operational performance across all business channels
- Support the management accounting / business partnering functions
- Monitor KPIs to drive manufacturing performance and stock control
- Variance analysis reporting
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Budgeting and forecasting for manufacturing areas
- Support audit, statutory reporting or due diligence requirements as required
- Ad-hoc project work

This role is hybrid, with three days in the office and two at home. You’ll be joining a friendly team and working with experienced individuals with the opportunity to learn and develop in Accountancy.
