**Function**:Supply Chain - Production**
**Location**: Manchester Brewery
**Contract**: Permanent
**Why Manchester?**
There has never been a more exciting time to join our site in Manchester. We are firmly planted in the community thanks to a number of investments in the site over the past few years, totalling more than £70 Million. Our brewery remains a pivotal part of our UK supply chain network, producing around 5 million hectolitres per year of Foster’s, Kronenbourg 1664 - and, more recently - Heineken. We’re delighted to have been given the quality seal of approval from Amsterdam to make Heineken on our site - and as a bonus, we’re making our carbon footprint smaller in the process.
**What’s the role?**
As the Materials Scheduler, you will be reporting to the Site Scheduling Manager and supporting the Scheduling team to deliver a comprehensive production planning service. This means relying on your experience of scheduling production material deliveries for Brewing (preferably), Process and Packaging in a manner that meets supplier order lead-times, HEINEKEN Procurement criteria and allows dependent production activity to hit or exceed Heineken’s Conformance to Schedule targets
It’s all about you and the scheduling team hitting the ‘sweet spot’ between material availability, storage space, and working capital value.
With our Heineken Behaviours as your guidelines, we’d love you to take our very complex supply planning process and use your analytical and problem-solving skills to “Keep It Simple” This means constantly managing information flows with stakeholders, using your listening, and communications skills to build strong relationships across functions. These relationships will result in more open conversations when we are all under pressure, allowing you to be an effective key driver in the scheduling process.
**What we are looking for?**
From a technical knowledge we are looking for someone with advanced spreadsheet skills and experience in using Infor AS & SAP (APO) If you had other experience in other Manufacturing and or Supply Chain Operations (e.g. Purchasing, Technical or Logistics) within a complex supply chain environment, we are always looking to build on our processes and bringing the outside in.
**Life at HEINEKEN**
We’re building a future that embraces innovation, sustainability, diversity and, of course, the opportunity for our 2,400 UK colleagues to make the most of their careers.
We encourage all our colleagues to grow and reach their full potential. We’re also well-aware that successful careers seldom run in a straight line, so if you’re in search of fresh opportunities (including global or cross-functional moves), mentoring or simply want to pick up a new skill, you’ll have access to all the support you need.
- Caring for people & the planet is one of our core values and we understand that each of our colleagues’ needs and circumstances are different. This is why we have a smarter working policy in place which includes access to hybrid working, flexible start and finish times and condensed hours, to name a few._
Our colleagues love life at HEINEKEN, and we’re confident you’ll feel the same way - but don’t take our word for it. Search the #LifeAtHEINEKENUK hashtag on LinkedIn to hear from our colleagues about what makes HEINEKEN such a special business to be a part of.
