The home, although purpose-built, has been made very homely, and has a selection of garden areas, in line with Jasmine's values and ethos. The home provides personal, nursing and dementia care to 49 residents **_ Competencies for _**Cook** - Ability to work with and lead a team - Ability to work under pressure - Good communication skills - A willingness to go above and beyond to meet the needs of our residents - A positive and enthusiastic outlook - Good time management skills **_ Day to Day Responsibilities for _**Cook** - You will provide, manage, and develop a high-quality catering service to our residents, guests and visitors to the home. - You will operate a safe, professional, and cost-effective catering service within the company operational standards and comply with all statutory requirements. - You will ensure that all our residents are provided with enough choice of nutritious meals and snacks throughout the day, broadly following the standard menus. - You will ensure that food orders are made punctually two times a week and that the food costs are within budget throughout the year. **_ Essential Requirements for _**Cook** - Basic or intermediate Food Safety Certificate. - Be contractually willing to work towards a Level 3 catering qualification if you do not already have one - Two years' catering experience. - One years' experience of managing people. - Knowledge of health and safety in the workplace. - Experience conducting effective person centred one to ones - Live within 25 minutes of the Home. **_ Preferred Requirements for _**Cook** - One years' experience working in a similar role in a residential or nursing home; or - Hold a Level 3 qualification. - One years' experience in a similar role. - Two years catering experience in a fast-paced environment. - Experience creating nutritious, well balanced and attractive menus. - managing/training a team. - budgeting and control of purchasing. - motivating and working within a team. - using new products and developments in the catering industry. - One years' experience of working as a Chef in a Hospital, Nursing Home or Residential Home - Conduct effective person centred one to ones **_ A little about Jasmine_** - By prioritising _**_our people_**_, our mission is to provide the _**_highest standards of care_**_ to _**_as many elderly residents as possible_** **_ Below are a few of the ways that we objectively demonstrate we are achieving our Mission:_** - Well over half our team have a relevant Diploma qualification with another fifth currently studying for one - We have a 4.8 star rating (out of 5.0) on Indeed as a top employer - We have Good and Outstanding Care Quality Commission (CQC) inspection reports **_ Take a look at Jasmine's facebook page, to get more of a feel of what we're all about, by clicking here. **Join u
