You will report to the Head of Innovation and will assist with carrying out tasks relating to the underwriting and reinsurance of the Innovation and Structured Portfolio Solutions divisions, providing appropriate customer focused products and maximizing profitability to the divisions, always bearing in mind the relationship between risk and return in respect of all underwriting activities.

Working across the Innovation and Structured Portfolio Solutions (SPS) functions, this role includes responsibility for building up a network of key brokers, venture capitalists, market underwriters and other external stakeholders, as well as triaging new submissions to establish how aligned the proposals are to TMK’s underwriting appetite and data/information quality requirements.

You will also assist with pipelining potential underwriting opportunities through discussions with TMK’s distribution team, brokers, underwriters and via market research. The role also includes responsibility for assisting with the due diligence of new and renewing accounts through liaison with key business stakeholders including underwriting teams, actuarial (pricing reserving), exposure management, customer oversight, risk management, compliance, UMT and the delegated authority team where applicable. You will support the data capture, analysis and statistical reporting across the Innovation and SPS functions. Helping to monitor performance and aiding the resolution of any escalated issues. Assisting with external and internal reporting requirements including SBF plans, RDS scenarios, DRMs and Capital modelling.

It is essential that you have demonstrable experience working within the insurance market in an underwriting discipline. We are looking for someone with great attention to detail, who is an analytical and innovative thinker, who can work proactively and adapt to different situations.
