Group Finance Manager

My client, one of the leading FTSE-listed businesses in the North West, are looking to hire a Group Finance Manager.
Initially on an 18 month fixed term contract, the Group Finance Manager will look after the day to day running of the finance function. Working closely with the Group Financial Controller, the Group FM will lead a team of 4 in compiling management and financialaccounting, group reporting, controls, tax, treasury, commercial finance, and various other ad hoc projects.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join one of the most reputable employers in the North West, in a varied and exciting role, surrounded by an extremely high calibre team.
Responsibilities include:
- Production of month end management and financial accounts and associated commentaries
- Group statutory reporting and associated technical analysis and interpretation eg new accounting standards
- Production of VAT and Corporation Tax returns and associated expertise within the business
- Production of weekly cash flows and associated commentaries
- Focus on systems, processes and controls to ensure that risks are minimised and processes are scalable as the business continues to grow
- Support on any M&A including technical analysis, accounting and system integrations
- ACA qualified (big 4 preferred) with some years PQE
- Strong technical accounting knowledge, IFRS and UK GAAP
- Experience of a complex group audit
- Confident, organised, ability to present at a senior level
- Prior team management experience preferred
