**Summary**

We are seeking a Logistics and Stock Controller to join our team at Edwards. This pivotal role will focus on logistics, yard, warehouse and stock supervision helping to maintain the manufacturing process.

Salary £30,000 - negotiable dependent on experience.

**Responsibilities**

**Yard & Warehouse**:
To ensure:

- the yard is clean, tidy and free from obstruction that could cause harm or be a potential hazard.
- all warehouse areas are clean, tidy and free from obstructions.
- the safe loading and unloading of goods and products.
- the correct goods/products are received with respective delivery documentation and report any discrepancies
- all goods and products are delivered as per the necessary specification and are fit for use.
- To ensure that goods/products are unloaded and stored as per Supplier specification.
- stock is used/distributed in correct order as per Company requirements.
- ensure that all pallets and dolavs are stored on site in a safe and practicable manner.

**Transport**:

- All safety checks are completed on Company vehicles before use.
- Stock is loaded correctly and safely onto vehicles.
- Deliveries are completed in a safe and timely manner.
- Coordinate with third party transport logistics.
- Delivery documentation is correctly authorized by customers and returned to base.
- Health and Safety rules are followed as per company procedures.
- Bookings for servicing of Company vehicles and timely annual MOT renewals are made in a timely manner.

**Temporary Drivers**
- Liaising with Planning department to ensure adequate Driver cover is arranged as per business requirements.
- Ensuring that all agency staff have the correct driving licenses and respective documentation to carry out requirements of the business safely and in line with regulations.

**Manage Maintenance**
- Any structural problems within the warehouse area are reported and logged.
- All yard equipment (including FLT) is serviced and maintained in accordance to their warranties.

**Competency & Skills**
- Category B Driving License.
- Up to date fork lift truck certificate
- IOSH Managing Safely - preferred.
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Sound knowledge of IT programs (including MicroSoft Excel and Word)

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £30,000.00 per year
