**Product Engineer - Middlesbrough**

**Responsibilities**:

- Identify and plan product improvement activities to reduce cost, improve yield and resolve quality issues.
- Responsible for contributing to the development and execution of manufacturing and product yield improvement; customer product development programs.
- Influences technical decisions that have a significant impact on final product.
- Monitor product test performance and validation of test software-related changes
- Solve complex, novel and non-recurring problems; initiates significant changes to existing processes/methods, leading development and implementation.
- Liaise with a number of groups including members of the design/technology engineering, process engineering, reliability & failure analysis group, along with key customers.
- Analysis of product yield data providing product dashboard and metric displays where appropriate.
- Drive 'Maverick' lot and outlier investigations.
- Assessment of product parameter capability and specification compliance.
- Monitor golden wafer performance and relationship to product test results
- Drive improvements in product yield and quality to align with customer and business targets.
- Provide technical support in cases of test methodology, data analysis and failure mechanisms.
- Periodically review product performance against key targets
- Support customer data analysis requests.
- Work with the reliability and failure analysis labs to understand product and technology weaknesses and how they can be improved.
- Respond positively to yield drops, significant data shifts and customer claims, assisting in determining failure modes, corrective and preventative action to eliminate the problem.
- Utilise Problem Analysis techniques to identify, rank and mitigate risks in design, manufacturing, and qualification.
- Ensure that relevant documentation exists and is regularly reviewed including yield limits, golden wafer monitoring, data analysis methods, work instructions for tests etc.

To be considered for this role you will need to have the following:

- Proven technical experience in a mass production environment.
- Strong experimental methodology skills
- Good understanding of statistical analysis and methodologies (e.g. Boxplots, distributions, bivariate/multivariate etc.)
- Proficiency in data analysis software such as Excel and JMP.
