As Head of Nursing, you will be a highly visible presence accountable to the Chief Nurse and CMG Clinical Director. Your focus will be to ensure the provision of high quality, evidence based, responsive services that hold the needs of the patient at the centre of care delivery.
The successful post-holder will be essential to supporting and delivering these complex, large-scale projects. They will be supported by a closely-knit Senior Management Team with a good track record of team-working and peer support. The SMT place huge importance on a strong Triumvirate, which we believe is vital to delivering high quality care and are keen to promote this at Matron, Head of Service and General Manager level also.
You will need to be an inspiring and motivated nurse, committed to the delivery of high standards of compassionate care and with the ability to challenge and influence practice. You will be a champion of all registered healthcare professionals and challenge the status quo of healthcare delivery.
You will need to have experience of leading nursing and clinical services as well as a proven track record putting safety, quality and patient experience at the heart of all you do.
The Head of Nursing for the Clinical Management Group (CMG) is managerially and professionally accountable for the leadership and clinical effectiveness of all nurses across a variety of clinical settings within the CMG. To provide effective clinical and professional leadership in ensuring that the nursing and midwifery agenda is clearly part of the CMG
decision making, service developments and contributes to both the local CMG and Trust strategic objectives including quality initiatives and targets.

Communications
