Escorts required to assist and monitor contractors in HMP establishments.

Purpose of the role:
To ensure the safety and security of the contractors, staff and prisoners during periods where contractors are carrying out works within an HMP establishment. You will also ensure that no unauthorised persons or items enter the establishment and/or building site.

Working Hours:
This is the standard sociable shift pattern; however individual contracts may vary. Contract lengths will vary but will be required for approximately 6 months.

The Role/ Duties:

- Checking in contractors and their tools
- Searching vehicles
- Supervision of contractors while on site
- Routine administrative work
**Experience**:

- **Must have prison clearance**:

- No formal qualifications are required
- Successful applicants will have a background in customer services or security, and will be assessed based on the following competencies: Acting with integrity, respecting others, Building relationships and team working, communicating effectively, developing self and others.
- All applicants must be able to provide details of satisfactory references to cover 3 years of employment
- All applicants must have indefinite leave to remain in the UK.
- All applicants must be willing to undergo security clearance and identity checks including a Basic DBS.
Training:
Full training is provided by the establishment/department. Training time will be paid at the standard hourly rate.
