Cutting Edge are currently recruiting for a Labourer/Bench Joiner with an interest in carpentry / joinery, This role would be ideal for someone who has perhaps completed a carpentry qualification and is now looking to utilise the skills you have learnt or someone who is practical with their hands and has some experience using hand tools and power tools. You will need to be hands-on and have a genuine interest in how things are made.

Cutting Edge is a fast growing company, producing basins, worktops and other furniture out of solid surface materials such as Corian. We have a good mix of standard products and bespoke items so that we have processes in place for the standard items and the chance to develop your skills with the bespoke items. This make Cutting Edge an exciting place to work and learn. There will be scope to increase pay as experience increases and overtime is available as required.

We are looking for a full-time Labourer/Trainee Bench Joiner - to work alongside and learn from our senior joiners, with a view to staying for the long term, building a career with Cutting Edge.

**The Bench Joiner be trained / responsible for**:

- Assembling cabinets
- Assembling & Gluing Corian parts
- Trimming and sanding Corian products
- Working with hand tools and power tools as well as operating simple machinery.
- Packaging and quality control of the finished goods

**Skills and Experience**
- Must be eager and willing to learn new skills
- Must be interested in how products are made
- Must be able to use hand tools and have some experience with building things at home or in education
- Can read, write and communicate effectively
- A formal qualification in carpentry or similar is advantageous but not essential
- Any prior experience with carpentry or joinery is advantageous but not essential
- Must be responsible, punctual, tidy and polite
