A 19-bed residential home is looking for a dedicated and experienced, empathetic, and friendly **Senior Care Assistant (Nights) **to join their team.

**About the benefits of the role**:

- Competitive pay starts at £11.80 an hour on weekdays and £12.05 on weekends.
- Increment of £0.10 for NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care
- Increment of £0.15 for NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care
- Full-time contracts are available.
- A bonus of £2.00 an hour for exceeding contracted hours.

- 20 pence per mile fuel allowance if the journey is further than 15 miles.
- Starting bonus of £250.00 (if you stay after the trial period)

**Experience/Qualifications required**:

- Knowledge of an elderly care setting and the needs of older people.
- Minimum 2 years of people management experience as a Senior.
- Experience in working in a customer-focused environment.
- Experience in delivering hands-on care.
- NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or above desired.
- On call for 2 days a week (must be close enough to return to work within 45 minutes)

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Shift management.
- Ensure medication is kept and the provision is completed in line with medical advice and legislation.
- Care planning including reviews.
- Delivery of rotas and ensuring adequate shift cover.
- Compliance with company policies, CQC standards, and other legislation directly affecting the home and its residents.
- Performance of the care team.
- Identify and report any incidences of poor practice or abuse in line with the safeguarding policy.
- Escalate concerns/issues to the Manager as appropriate.
