At Work Lyf Group, we're looking for a Fitter to join our client in the Wheel Shop Maintenance Team. As a Fitter you'll be responsible for maintaining, overhauling and refurbishing rolling stock in accordance with the relevant regime and specification.

**This position is for permanent night shift working Monday to Thursday.**

**What you will be doing?**
- To maintain / overhaul and refurbish rolling stock in accordance with the relevant regime and specification.
- This includes but is not limited to - fault finding, rectification work, damage repairs, modification and work arising.
- To ensure that stock levels are kept and stock is stored correctly.
- To order / reorder stock as required.
- To carry out damage reports / overload inspections on behalf of the customer and provide all documentation including photographs when required.
- Complete all relevant documentation relating to all work carried out on any rolling stock vehicle.
- To correctly file / store all rolling stock documentation.
- Be flexible in their weekly work which includes weekend working which includes all other overtime.
- May be required to work at other outstation depots.
- You will be required to work 36 hours per week, Monday to Thursday on night shift.
- There is also opportunity for overtime.

**What we are looking for?**

You must have a pro-active approach to working with good organisation skills.

Demonstrated experience within the maintenance sector.

Qualifications within an engineering discipline would be advantageous.

Rail industry experience would also be an advantage.
