Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and customer-oriented Counter Staff member to join our friendly team. As a Counter Staff member, you will play a crucial role in providing excellent customer service and ensuring smooth operations at our busy fish and chip shop located in Nettleham Lincoln. **Responsibilities**:

- Greet customers with a friendly and welcoming attitude
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Operate cash registers and handle cash transactions
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the counter area
- Assist with food preparation and kitchen tasks as needed
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer inquiries and resolving any issues or complaints
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow and efficient service
- Adhere to company policies and procedures

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen environment is preferred
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Knowledge of basic math for cash handling purposes
- Familiarity with food preparation techniques and culinary terminology is a plus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in order taking and food preparation
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays

Note: All positions at our company are paid, looking for a long term member of staff. More hours available for the right person.

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: £8.60-£11.44 per hour

Expected hours: 18 per week
