**ICT Technician - £24,939 - £26,571 Dependent on Experience + Benefits - Portsmouth**

**The Role
Are you well organised, enthusiastic, and adaptable? Do you possess strong problem-solving skills coupled with Microsoft Office knowledge or a mix of the Person skills listed below? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you.

We are looking to appoint a full-time ICT technician to join our busy department. You will provide efficient, friendly, and reliable first line support to all users of the school computer systems.

This is an evening-based position, and you will be expected to work evenings onsite when the need arises. When there is no evening work you will be required to work 9am to 5pm.

**Key Responsibilities:
The key responsibilities of an ICT Technician are, but are not limited to:

- Ensuring that requests not solved are escalated to a more skilled Technician, the Network Manager, or the Head of ICT Services as appropriate in a timely manner.
- Ensuring that the status of the call is updated on the Helpdesk System
- Installing new IT equipment throughout the school premises
- Providing training to users in the use of software and hardware as necessary.
- Ensuring that the IT Suites are kept tidy and fully operational at all times.
- Providing assistance to staff and pupils using school iPads, laptops, Microsoft Azure /AD and Google Workspace for Education accounts.
- Provide AV equipment support when necessary.

**The Person
The key skills and qualities of an ICT Technician are:

- Microsoft Windows Domain Administration including Active Directory, SCCM, GPOs, DHCP. DNS, Servers, and W10 desktops.
- Microsoft Azure, O365 including SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams.
- Knowledge of anti-virus, firewall, networks, wi-fi, VoIP, Veeam backup, Hyper-V.
- iSAMS - Management Information System.
- Google Workspace for Education - Administration and Classroom User Support.
- Apple iPad Management - VM Ware Workspace one or MS Intune.
- Audio Visual
- Sibelius, Cubase, Epson Projectors, Promethean, and CleverTouch Smartboards.
- Well-organised, with the ability to plan ahead.
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and cope well with busy periods.
- Initiative and problem-solving.
- Friendly and ‘can do’ attitude, with a commitment to a strong customer service ethos.
