Serendipity are seeking a kitchen assistant for approximately 30 hours per week initially, between the hours of 10.30-17.30, Monday-Friday with an hour break.

We are seeking someone enthusiastic, hard-working, dedicated and reliable to join our team. You will be involved in providing fresh, nutritious and well presented meals for children and babies, whilst maintaining a high standard of hygiene at all times, following food hygiene and infection control guidelines and policies, which will included keeping all relevant documentation up to date.

You will be constantly aware of Special Dietary Requirements ensuring menu’s are prepared accordingly as well as catering for multi cultural days we will have on a regular basis. We also have our “Chef School” where you will be involved in cooking alongside our children. There will be responsibility for food stocks, cleaning of the kitchen as per the Cleaning Schedule and be aware and fully implement all Company Policies and Procedures in relation to the operation of the setting.

You will be expected to take additional training. Ideally you will have a catering qualification or proven experience alongside Food Hygiene Level 2 qualification, you will be required to take an Enhanced DBS check and suitable references must be gained prior to commencement.
