Robert Half are delighted to be partnering with a large organisation for a Commercial Analyst in Southwark London. As a Commercial Analyst you are expected to be a focused, inquisitive person able to manage your time well and actively look for problems aswell as identifying solutions. Working closely with other departments will require excellent communication skills that maintain good working relationships but also convey authority.

**Personal Specification**:

- Part Qualified CIMA/ACCA accountant with relevant commercial experience.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

- Reliable and trustworthy.

**Your key tasks and responsibilities**:
**Financial Accounting**:

- Raising client billing requests to the Accounts Receivable team in line with contractual agreements
- Client specific journal entries for a portfolio of clients including revenue recognition, cost accrual and deferral and month end reconciliations.
- Day to day monitoring of all balance sheet accounts covering client WIP, deferred and accrued costs; including the analysis, reconciliation and reporting on such amounts.
- Reporting of working capital management including analysis and suggestions for operational improvements.

**Compliance**:

- Leading SOX compliance testing and prepare the month end files for review by the Senior Commercial Manager
- Assist in establishing effective control procedures to ensure SOX compliance
- Manage insurance limits for all outstanding Accounts Receivable and WIP balances

**Commercial**:

- Creating and updating reports to provide relevant data to our senior management team about staff utilisation and client profitability
- Have knowledge of the forecasts for our client contracts
- Assist with data entry into reporting software for forecast submission
- Provide variance analysis of the financial performance of the client contracts for both revenue and direct costs
- Assist with reporting to group finance with variance analysis
- Attend commercial review meetings to discuss financial performance of client contracts
