**Role overview**

We’re looking for a Full Time Private Patient Coordinator and Administrator to join our Harrogate site. This role will be 40 hours over 5 days per week, including weekend working on a rota basis.

You’ll be the first point of contact for all private patient telephone enquiries, ensuring that our private patients are well looked after and can expect a seamless, professional experience throughout their journey with us.

The thought of eye surgery can be a daunting prospect for patients to deal with, so our Private Patient Coordinator will need to be able to put patients at ease. You’ll also need to be accurate and detail orientated - ensuring Private Medical Insurance processes are followed and premium lenses are ordered for your patients.

In between this, you’ll be able to pitch in with the NHS Administration team ensuring we keep on top of day to day tasks as the Service requires.

**What skills and experience do I need?**

We’ll provide training so experience isn’t always needed, but the following things will be advantageous:

- A background in Private Healthcare would be a plus, or experience dealing with medical insurance processes.
- Exceptional administrator who can understand and deliver within a complex working environment.
- Good organisation skills and the ability to multi-task.
- Enjoys working with a range of people and is able to tailor their approach to a diversity of patient needs.
- Previous experience of working with patients or in a customer service/sales type of role.
- Knowledge of eye physiology and treatment or a keen interest to build knowledge in this area
- A competent user of all Office 365 programmes & comfortable working on new systems such as patient record systems or diagnostic programmes.
- An excellent grasp of the English language both verbally and in written format
- Experience of dealing with a variety of data for example patient records, GP and patient correspondence and diagnostic test results
- A good team player - happy to jump in and support others when required
