**Quality and Environmental Manager**

**Location Walworth Industrial Estate, Andover**

**Flexible working - 37.5 hours per week**

**£35,000-40,000 doe**

Our client, based in Andover, develop illumination systems that enable research and provide technology to improve people’s lives. We are working in partnership with them to appoint a Quality and Environmental Manager.

The purpose of this role is to ensure that the product and service delivers is fit for purpose, is consistent and meets both external and internal requirements through the maintenance and enhancement of our Quality Management System and planning to add totheir management system by implementing ISO14001.

As a Quality and Environmental Manager you will have the opportunity to work with every department to reinvigorate and develop the QMS to a higher level. You will have the benefit of seeing the whole process from designing products through to end of lifeand give support based on that unique viewpoint. You will also be able to build on the company’s belief in the importance of environmental sustainability by implementing an effective EMS.

**Job Details**

As a Quality and Environmental Manager, you will contribute to company success by:

- Being the ambassador for QMS and EMS
- Maintaining and enhancing our QMS and monitoring its effectiveness
- Carrying out internal audit activities
- Provide training, tools and techniques to enable others to achieve quality standards
- Coordinating and driving process improvement projects such as implementing software packages
- Developing, implementing and gaining certification for ISO14001 EMS
- Acting as a point of contact for QMS & EMS queries with external parties including certification bodies, customers, suppliers, and colleagues in our sister companies
- Validating RoHS and REACH compliance with suppliers
- Maintaining GDPR compliance

This position is based at the company HQ in Andover. Staff are expected to be willing to travel as their role requires to visit customers and partners worldwide. Specific system training will be provided
