We’re looking for a highly personable Events Planner with a genuine passion for the wedding and events industry to join our small but busy events team._**

**_
In this role, you’ll work closely with the team to manage private hire and public events on our sites, as part of our core mission to raise funds to support the work of the Trust, helping us to achieve our vision of London alive with nature, where everyone can experience and enjoy wildlife._**

**Role & Responsibilities**

Reporting to the Event Sales Manager, you’ll play a crucial part in our small but busy events team, overseeing the day-to-day enquiries and events at Camley Street Natural Park, as well as closely working with the team looking after events at Walthamstow Wetlands and Woodberry Wetlands.

Day-to-day, the role will involve responding to enquiries and providing administrative, sales and operational support, acting as the main point of contact for our growing events business at Camley Street Natural Park

In this role you will:

- Answer all events enquiries for Camley Street Natural Park
- Assist the Event Sales Manager to identify potential sales opportunities and generate agreed sales targets
- Conduct site visits with potential clients
- Build a warm, friendly and approachable rapport with clients
- Liaise with suppliers, conduct logistic meetings, and prepare event schedules
- To operationally manage and attend events as requested
- To assist the Catering team in producing daytime catering and drinks quotes
- To ensure up-to-date supplier documentation is obtained, along with raising commission invoices and logging accordingly
- Assist with the planning and execution of public ticketed events
- Effective management of the diary to ensure that all provisional and confirmed events are clearly recorded and communicated
- Prepare client documentation and invoicing
- Ensure Health and Safety information for accredited suppliers is up-to-date
- Monitor and upload content to maintain a strong social media presence for London Wildlife Trust events

Tenure: Permanent, full-time contract

**Our ideal Events Planner**:

- Proven sales experience in an events environment such as hotels or wedding/conference venues
- Operational knowledge of events in a hotel or wedding/conference venue
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Exceptional organisational skills and a meticulous eye for detail
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to empathetically liaise with clients and suppliers on all levels
