We're Clinical DPO, a specialist data protection consultancy that helps organisations understand and comply with data protection laws like the GDPR. We work with clients across healthcare and other sectors to keep personal data safe and handled responsibly.

As our business continues to grow, we’re looking for a proactive, organised and enthusiastic person to join us as a Data Protection Support Officer. You’ll be part of a friendly and expert team, supporting our consultants and helping clients stay compliant with the law.

**What You’ll Do**:
You’ll play a key role in both admin and consultancy support. No two days are the same Tasks include:

- Supporting the team with general admin: taking notes, updating policies, and keeping our website up to date.
- Helping consultants prepare client reports, documentation and updates.
- Supporting clients with tasks like Subject Access Requests (SARs), data breaches and Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs).
- Maintaining key documents like privacy notices and records of processing.
- Communicating with clients to gather information and clarify requirements.
- Doing research on the latest developments in data protection law.
- Helping us improve our internal processes and knowledge sharing.

**What We’re Looking For**:
**Essential**:

- Great written and spoken communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and solid organisational skills.
- Able to manage your time and juggle tasks in a busy environment.
- Positive, client-focused attitude and a willingness to learn.

**Desirable (but not essential - we’ll provide training)**:

- Some knowledge of data protection or previous experience in admin, compliance, legal or governance work.
- Experience dealing with SARs, policies or risk assessments.
- A data protection qualification - or a desire to work towards one.

Note: If you're the right fit for our team, we’re happy to train you - a deep understanding of data protection isn’t essential from the start

This is a full-time, permanent position, to be based at our Harrogate office. Office hours are 8.45am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £26,000.00-£29,000.00 per year

Additional pay:

- Yearly bonus
