**Location: Volution Group plc, Dudley, UK**

**Reports To: Production Manager**
**Hours of work: Monday - Thursday 8am - 4.30pm, Friday 8am - 1.30pm (37.5hrs pw).**

**Who are we?**

**Position Overview**:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented **Trainee Brake Press Operator;**you will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC Press Brake machines (Amada Promecam/HFE and Trumpf Trumabend) to produce high-quality sheet metal components.

As a Trainee, you will undergo hands-on training and develop the skills required to operate CNC brake press machines effectively in a sheet metal fabrication environment. **This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals looking to grow their career in CNC machining and sheet metal fabrication.**

**Key responsibilities**:

- Assist with the setup and operation of CNC brake press machines under the supervision of experienced operators.
- Load and unload sheet metal onto the machine bed, ensuring proper alignment and secure positioning of materials.
- Learn to interpret technical drawings and blueprints to determine the correct specifications for bending and forming operations.
- Ensure that parts meet the required tolerances and specifications by inspecting products after each cycle.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and ensure the machine is kept in good working condition. Report any issues to senior operators or maintenance staff.
- Participate in training sessions to develop technical skills and knowledge of the machine's operation, tooling, and maintenance procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area. Perform basic maintenance tasks, such as tool changes and machine cleaning.
- Work closely with senior operators, engineers, and production staff to meet production targets and improve processes.

- Ability to lift and handle metal sheets and perform physical tasks related to machine operation.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
- **Preferred Qualifications (Not Essential)**:_
- _Experience working in a manufacturing or metalworking environment._
- _Familiarity with CNC machinery and computer systems._
- _Basic knowledge of sheet metal fabrication and bending processes._
