**Job Overview**:
The primary role is based on everyday tradesman tasks to be carried out to a very high standard, based in the manufacturing of bathroom pods. You will work alongside other trade persons such as tilers, electricians and plumbers on a day-to-day basis and will require a general knowledge of their role and will be a point of contact for both general labourers and supervisors. The role also provides the opportunity to develop within the company.
**Main Duties/Responsibilities**
- Fitting sanitaryware, shower doors, mirrors and vanity units
- Plaster boarding steel framed walls and assemble simple steel frames
- Work with the project manager to make templates at the start of each project to fit sanitaryware, tiles, wiring harnesses etc.
- Work within the internal quality system ensuring that high standards of production are maintained through to finished product stage
- You will check that all works are being carried out in accordance with the drawings and specifications, whilst monitoring the quality of materials used
- You will also be required where necessary to undertake small scale joinery works
- Operate to Health and Safety policy and guidelines laid down in the workshop and always operate in a safe and reasonable manner
- Any other duties, within reason and capability, as determined by the Operations Manager
**Essential Criteria**:
- Have at least 5 years’ experience in joinery practice
- Ability to interpret and read workshop/design drawings
- Implement/display high quality standards in all aspects of the role
- Problem solving skills
- To work in accordance with instruction
- Competent in the use of workshop machinery and all power tools
- Continually seeking ways to improve, adapt and innovate while meeting compliance requirements
- Good organisational and time management skills
- Excellent verbal communication skills
**Desirable Criteria**:
- High school diploma or diploma in a skilled trade
- Ability to read drawings, Plans and blueprints
- Demonstrable experience in a workshop joiner role (not essential)
**Duration**: Permanent
**Location**: Bessbrook, Newry, Co. Down
**Hours of Work**: 07.00 - 17.00
**Remuneration**: Attractive
