To support our growth plans we are looking to hire an Instructional Designer to design and develop innovative, accessible, and robust eLearning courses.
Reporting to the Senior Instructional Designer, your responsibilities will include:
- Working collaboratively to design and develop high quality, engaging eLearning courses
- Design and develop compelling course content that is accessible and enhances the learning process
- Design and build assessment activities in line with best practices
- Create supporting media/resources (video, audio, pdfs etc)
- Ensure all courses developed meet 3B internal standards and awarding body standards
- Review and action user feedback as necessary
- Ensure all courses are reviewed to keep up to date with legislative and awarding body requirements
- Keep up to date with industry trends and eLearning innovation, sharing ideas and research with the team
- Adhere to technical, best practice, and GDPR guidance
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Understanding of instructional design models and adult learning theories
- Good organisational and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Creative design skills with a passion for developing engaging digital learning solutions
- Experience using course authoring tools, in particular Articulate Storyline 360
- Experience in instructional design and using instructional technologies with an understanding of eLearning standards (SCORM)
- Experience using creative video and screen recording software, such as Vyond and Screencast-o-matic
- Experience working with an external LMS
Desirable Skills & Experience:
- Ability to storyboard and write effective instructional text and scripts for audio and video
- Experience using audio packages such as Audacity
- Experience delivering training
In reward for your skills, you will be offered a salary that is negotiable depending on experience. The hours of work are 37.5 per week, Monday - Friday.
