**About The Role**:
**Role Purpose**
We are seeking an experienced **Electrical Estimator** with a strong background in the UK energy market, particularly across **Energy Centres, District Heating, and Heat Networks**. The role will focus on developing accurate and competitive cost estimates for electrical systems, ensuring our bids and tenders are commercially robust and aligned with project requirements.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for electrical systems within energy centres and district heating networks, including LV distribution, control systems, BMS, instrumentation, and ancillary works.
- Review tender documents, drawings, and specifications to fully understand scope and identify key risks and opportunities.
- Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to source accurate quotations and validate pricing.
- Work closely with mechanical, civil, and commercial colleagues to develop coordinated, multidisciplinary bids.
- Support value engineering initiatives and propose alternative technical/economic solutions where appropriate.
- Maintain a strong understanding of electrical installation methods, industry standards, and current market pricing.
- Contribute to bid presentations and project handovers, ensuring clarity between pre-construction and delivery teams.
**Skills & Experience**
- Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator in the UK construction or energy infrastructure sector.
- Specific experience in **Energy Centres, LV/HV systems, renewables integration, and District Heating**.
- Knowledge of BMS, SCADA, controls, and metering systems advantageous.
- Strong commercial and numerical skills with the ability to prepare clear, competitive costings.
- Proficiency with estimating software, Microsoft Excel, and related tools.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
**Qualifications**
- HNC / HND / Degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services, or related field (preferred).
- CSCS / ECS card or willingness to obtain.
