**Job Title: Water Hygiene Technician**
**Location: North West**
**Hours of Work: 40 hours per week, Mon to Fri + Overtime**
**Salary: £22,000-£26,000 per annum, dependant on experience**

**The Role**
**Main duties and responsibilities**
This role will include a variety of tasks including the following:

- Carry out all tasks / works in accordance with approved practice
- General water hygiene and legionella control duties will include:

- Temperature checks, including accurate recording and adjustments where possible
- Descale and disinfection of both fixed and adjustable shower-heads and hoses
- Cold Water Storage Tank inspections, cleaning and disinfection
- Taking water samples
- Flushing little used outlets
- Calorifier Inspections and descaling
- Mains Injections
- Minor and/or major water softener servicing, if qualified to do so
- Minor repairs to plumbing systems, if qualified to do so
- Risk Assessing water systems, if qualified to do so
- Working on your own initiative and also as part of a team
- Working safely and following company health and safety regulations to ensure safety of yourself, colleagues, customers and visitors
- Being proactive in reporting faults to equipment, buildings and fittings
**Qualifications and Experience**:

- A technical qualification or proven experience in Water Hygiene and Legionella Control
- Good technical knowledge
- Ability to plan and prioritise own workloads
- Ability to work under pressure and on your own initiative
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Adaptable and flexible in approach to work required
