**The Role**
Cantium have an exciting opportunity for a Junior Contracts & Procurement Officer to join the business. This opportunity would be perfect for someone who wants a career in Procurement and Contract Management, has excellent communication skills and has an eye for detail.

The Junior Contracts & Procurement Officer will play a vital role in the Contracts & Procurement Team, assisting with the supplier onboarding process and supporting contract administration. This opportunity will provide you with professional development in the field of procurement and contract management.

**Key Duties**:

- Help maintain a supplier and contract management database to include details of all current suppliers, the products and services they provide to the business, contacts and the ordering process
- Assist the Supplier Manager in the sourcing and collection of contract performance data (such as pricing and supply chain costs) so performance can be monitored against KPIs to ensure value for money and adherence to contracts.
- Monitor and manage supplier performance through regular reporting and service review meetings in line with the supplier management process to ensure successful delivery of projects and services required by the business.
- Take minutes during service review meetings in line with the supplier management process and chair meetings where required.
- Work with the Contracts & Procurement Team to source and procure a wide range of required goods and services, ensuring optimal value for money within defined service and quality criteria.
- Manage the procurement process from start to finish for small, non-strategic and operational business requirements and contracts.

**What we need from you**:

- Basic knowledge of the Procurement lifecycle
- Desire to gain procurement qualifications (CIPS).
- Excellent spreadsheet skills (advanced MS Excel).
- Awareness of information governance, data protection and confidentiality issues.
- Good communication and organisational skills with the ability to meet fixed deadlines whilst maintaining quality standards.
- Ability to establish effective working relationships with service managers and other key stakeholders.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Attention to detail.
