It’s an exciting time to work for Guinness in our IT and Business Change Team. We’ve recently reviewed our operating model to ensure we have the right skills and the people we need to deliver our ambitious plans. In turn we are out to market for an excitingnumber of new roles.

We’re looking for a Software / Systems Development Team Manager to join us on a permanent, full-time basis. This role is based in our Oldham office however Guinness is currently trialling a hybrid working model based on 2 days in the office and 3 days workingfrom home.

**About the role**

As an organisation we are committed to investing in our people and in technology that will continue to support our strategic aims and enable continued business improvement through the implementation of our IT / IM Roadmap. Our Roadmap is exciting - it isbased on the principle of Cloud first, establishing best practice processes and utilising out of the box functionality to deliver our digital transformation. Over the last 2 years our IT & Change teams have worked together to migrate our legacy CRM systemto Dynamics 365 online, Finance system to Oracle cloud and implement Azure integration services. We now working on our technology roadmap for Asset Management & Repairs, as well as extending the use of the Oracle Platform for HR and L&D, and continuing toextend our use of Microsoft Dynamics.

**In this role you will**:

- Lead the effective and efficient release management process of test environments and the DevOps pipeline through to preproduction/production environments.
- Lead and manage the testing function to provide assurance over technical delivery, and the adoption of advances in approaches to testing, e.g., AI enabled automated testing.
- Lead the development, test and environment teams to ensure that all IT systems development is aligned with coding standards, Architectural Design Principles, IT/IM Roadmap, IT Strategy and the business needs.
- Partner with IT service operations teams to establish and maintain proactive monitoring of the Group’s IT footprint to ensure that issues are detected and managed before they impact the IT service SLA’s to the business.
- Lead and advise on tooling, best practice in IT technology development, delivery, and appropriate development methodologies for the specific type of IT/change delivery, (e.g., Waterfall, Agile, DevOps, Prototyping, UCD, Hybrid).

**About you**
- Experience in the development and integration across multiple development languages such as SQL,.NET, HTML, Java, XML, C++, C#, PHM, Python, etc.
- Broad experience of a range of technology solutions including ERP, CRM, ESB, Azure, Cloud, AI, IoT, RPA, etc.
- Experience of multiple software/technical development delivery approaches such as Waterfall, SDLC, Agile, Scrum, DevOps, etc.
- **Educated to Level 6 (degree level in an IT/STEM related discipline) or equivalent.
