Multi Skilled Carpenter

The Role

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced carpenter within our team. The purpose of the role is to operate within the department supporting the Small Works team delivering installation works throughout the region.

Main Duties & Responsibilities include:

- Carry out installation works as required both in and out of hours.
- Carry out various joinery tasks including hanging fire doors and any other building fabric tasks as instructed
- Work as part of a team utilising other skills as required.
- Procure materials in coordination with the Project Manager
- Pre-Start meeting before works with internal teams
- Ensure the annual PAT testing of tools and equipment are kept up to date.
- Carry out engineering works as directed by the Project Managers.
- Assist in production of quotes as required for Managers across the business.
- Production of documentation as required
- Ensure that the Contractual efficiently meets all the relevant KPI & SLA requirements.

Skills & Experience

Time served City & Guild apprenticeship or equivalent NVQ qualification in a Carpentry and Joinery
- A good knowledge of building services
- Sound level of administration and organisational skills
- Proven practical experience within the industry
- Ability to develop a good understanding of the customers’ business requirements
- Initiative
- Proactive approach to all tasks undertaken
- High standard of workmanship
- Conscientious
- Team player
- Reliability
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Commitment to providing a high-quality service and willing to work flexibly
- Work overtime when required
- Sound knowledge of computer software
- Full UK Driving Licence
