Astroscale UK is looking for a passionate Head of Marketing & Communications to work with us in promoting the pioneering work we do, to achieve our vision for space sustainability.
In this varied role, you will have the opportunity to work across numerous departments with our colleagues across the world, as well as in the UK, helping to drive business relationships with Astroscale’s most critical stakeholders.
You will lead the Astroscale UK Marketing and Communications Team, positioning Astroscale as the UK’s and Europe’s leader in commercial in-orbit servicing and space sustainability, and will contribute to the same positioning for Astroscale globally.
You will be a member of the Astroscale Global MarComms Leadership Team and will work closely with colleagues in Japan, the United States, and Israel.

**Responsibilities**
- Lead the external communications for the Astroscale UK office, delivering across multiple platforms, channels, and events.
- Lead, develop and mentor the UK MarComms team.
- Contribute to and collaborate with the Vice President of Global MarComms and the Global MarComms Team, focusing on strategic positioning, ideas generation, planning and project leadership.
- Helping to develop international campaigns and other initiatives that will drive awareness of and engagement with Astroscale’s global business activities.
- Help to develop and execute global brand-building and media campaigns to raise awareness of Astroscale’s pioneering upcoming missions and unique identity in the space sector.
- Identify potential podcasts, interviews and feature posts across relevant media to help raise the profile of Astroscale.
- Responsible for all marketing and communications activities in the UK and Europe.
- Develop relationships with UK and European media to enable them to understand Astroscale’s mission and be the central point of contact for coordinating media relationships.
- Identify and prepare press releases in relation to activities in the UK and Europe.
- Promote messaging widely across social media and other digital media platforms to gain maximum awareness.
- Working with the UK team, identify the appropriate events and Astroscale’s level of involvement, e.g. sponsorship, exhibiting, attendance, speaker slots, etc, and work with the global team to develop the messaging, collateral and stand designs to support Astroscale’s presence.
- Organise the UKspace In-Orbit Servicing and Manufacturing Group, setting up quarterly meetings, communicating with group representatives, identifying agenda, and taking and writing up minutes.
- Develop and direct an effective program of employee engagement, including methods for measuring and analyzing employee sentiment and attitudes about critical company issues.
- Develop and manage the Astroscale UK marketing and communications budget.
- Ensure quality control of information released in accordance with Astroscale information release guidelines.

- Previous experience leading and managing a marketing team
- Detailed knowledge of news media and social media platforms and how to increase visibility through both
- Familiarity with digital, field, and/or demand generation marketing techniques
- Ability to lead, motivate and encourage your team to shine
