Delivery of offshore and industrial fire training courses to Offshore Petroleum Industry Training Organisation (OPITO), Maritime & Coastguard Agency (MCA), JOIFF and other regulatory standards. Delivery of training will be both practical and theoretical
**Principle accountabilities**
- Maintain records, for personal development, training and equipment tests and inspections to auditable standards
- Assess delegate’s performance against the delivery of theoretical and practical training sessions to OPITO/MCA and other relevant standards
- Develop and update course material to meet industry requirements
- Ensure the safe transportation of students and resources between training sites
- Manage the ID cards and documentation process in line with staff instructions and security policy
- Demonstrate excellent communication and presentation skills in order to ensure a high standard of customer focus
- Work with our business partners to ensure high quality of service delivery
- Participate in projects and working parties and to carry out any other duties that may be outside the standard remit for the purpose of personal development, or as may be reasonably required by the company
- Promote and adopt safe working practices to ensure that self, colleagues and customers are not put at risk, and health, safety and the environment are given the highest priority at all times
- Work with the AIAL Security Management Team to promote the Security Management System (SeMs) culture within the department and across the wider airport campus with a focus on adherence to the principles within the AIAL Security Policy. Provide or seek guidance from AIAL Security to encourage the team to report all suspicious or security related incidents in a timely manner to Security or the Police or Airport Duty Manager. Cascade all relevant security related information to the team in a timely manner including advice in response to security related incidents
**Qualifications and experience**
- Experience in an operational fire related role.
- Proficient in Word and PowerPoint.
- Maintain high level of personal appearance.
- Patience and understanding of peoples learning abilities.
- Be prepared to work in a physically demanding role.
- Gain certificate of competence for each training course being
- delivered to delegates.
- Pass on knowledge and ensure training is carried out to the highest standard
**Framework and boundaries**
- Excellent communication skills
- Attain and maintain an understanding of relevant standards for the delivery of courses
- Maintain a UK driving license
- Have the self motivation and drive to be capable of working on own initiative to sustain the safe and effective working operation
- Seeks approval on both policy strategy and wider airport issues
- Role requires individual to operate within a classroom environment and in an outdoor environment in all weather
